ANNOUNCEMENT:
If you want to vote on November 4th, you need to be registered to vote by 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 15th.
Register at the Elections Commission office in City Hall.
The office is on the first floor, next to the elevator. They will be open late on October 15th: from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM.
Who can register to vote?
A U.S. citizen who is a resident of Massachusetts and who is or will be 18 years old by election day. Bring an I.D. that shows your name and your address.
You need to register if you have moved to Brockton from another city or town or state.
You need to register again if you have changed your name, or if you have moved from one place to another in Brockton.
If you have just received your U.S. citizenship, you can now register to vote.
You can register by mail, but your application form must be postmarked by Wednesday, October 15th.
If you registered at the Registry of Motor Vehicles … the "RMV," save your receipt until you get an official postcard in the mail from the Elections Commission office.
Call 508-580-7117 for any questions. Regular hours for the Elections Commission are from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM., with extra hours on October 15th.
Reminder that, on November 4th, all polling places will be open for 13 hours: from 7:00AM to 8:00 PM. The polls do not close for lunch or supper, so there is plenty of time for everyone to vote.
