BROCKTON — Life is made up of bad and happy moments that we all have to pass through in order to achieve our goals.

Everyone in this whole world has a dream. Do you know what your dream is?

The bilingual students of Brockton High School would like to see everyone realize his or her goals.
When we first came to the United States of America, we felt so alone because we had left almost all of our friends and families behind in Cape Verde, Haiti and El Salvador. We thought that life in the United States would be very different, but we were so wrong because here you have to fight for your future like we do in our countries.

Though we have to learn a new language, we believe that this is truly the land of opportunity. There are more schools of higher education, more colleges and universities, and there are also more job opportunities.
We have very different goals for the future. Some of the careers that we have chosen are as follows: doctor, pediatrician, pharmacist, architect, flight attendant, singer, model, lawyer, mechanical engineer, detective, scientist, pilot, soccer player, police officer, actress, teacher and fashion designer.

All of us feel privileged to be studying at Brockton High School because the educators and administrators, including the Bilingual Department head, Ms. Carreiro; the principal, Dr. Szachowicz; and the associate principal, Ms. Lefort, are helping and encouraging all students to learn.

Our teachers give us homework almost every day and insist that we do it even though there are times when we would rather not.
